  • Time periods (years, months, weeks, days) of missed prayers.

  • Daily prayer completion data (e.g., Fajr, Dhuhr, Asr, Maghrib, Isha).

  • User-defined goals and deadlines for completing missed prayers.

This data is stored locally on your device and is not transmitted to our servers or any third parties unless explicitly stated.

1.3 Usage Data

We may collect anonymized usage data to improve the App's performance and user experience, such as:

  • App interactions (e.g., button clicks, feature usage).

  • Crash reports and diagnostic information.

This data is anonymized and cannot be used to identify you.

2. How We Use Your Information

The information you input into Salah Journal is used solely to:

  • Calculate the estimated number of missed prayers based on your input.

  • Track your progress toward completing missed prayers.

  • Display progress through circular visualizations (daily, monthly, overall).

  • Provide reminders and updates to help you meet your prayer goals.

We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, or any purpose other than delivering the App’s core functionality.

3. Data Storage and Security

  • Local Storage: All prayer-related data (e.g., missed prayers, progress, goals) is stored locally on your device. We do not store or process this data on our servers.

  • Security Measures: We implement reasonable security measures to protect data stored on your device. However, no system is completely secure, and you are responsible for maintaining the security of your device.

  • Data Retention: Data remains on your device until you delete the App or manually clear the data. Uninstalling the App will remove all locally stored data.

4. Data Sharing

We do not share, sell, or disclose your data to third parties, except in the following cases:

  • Legal Requirements: If required by law or to comply with legal processes, we may disclose data to authorities, but only to the extent required.

  • Anonymized Data: We may share anonymized, aggregated data for analytics or research to improve the App, ensuring no individual user can be identified.

5. Third-Party Services

Salah Journal may use third-party services for analytics or crash reporting (e.g., Firebase Analytics). These services collect anonymized data and adhere to their own privacy policies. We do not integrate third-party advertising networks or services that collect personal information for marketing purposes.

6. Children’s Privacy

Salah Journal is not directed toward children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child under 13 has provided data, please contact us, and we will take steps to delete it.

7. Your Rights and Choices

Since all data is stored locally on your device, you have full control over it. You can:

  • Review and edit your prayer data within the App.

  • Delete all data by uninstalling the App or clearing the App’s data through your device settings.

8. International Users

Salah Journal is designed for global use. If you use the App outside the United States, you consent to your data being processed in accordance with this policy and applicable local laws.

9. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in the App or legal requirements. The updated policy will be posted within the App, and the effective date will be revised. Continued use of the App after changes indicates your acceptance of the updated policy.
